When I started
I started swimming on a team when I was nine years old. I wasn't the best of the bunch, and wanted to quit. But I liked the meets and stuck to it.
How I started
I started when my mom made me take lessons. She made me go through all the levels of Red Cross. I wanted to join a team after, and I did.
Why I love it
It's just great to get competition and swim best times. When I started to get better, I liked it even more.
How I stay motivated
I stay motivated by constantly trying to improve my stroke and trying to make cuts like State, Zone, and National Cuts. I'm currently trying to go for Nats.....maybe.
I really don't like to brag but if I must, I was seeded 32nd in the 50 back out of a field of 35, and I placed 12th at The Great Lakes Zone Meet in 2007 at Ohio State. It was the best feeling ever to win my heat.
I like to run track in the spring for my middle school team and I do weight training when its not the championship season.
