Two opportunities: This year round part time position will greet people, both on the phone and in person, and direct calls and visitors appropriately. Secondarily, position may assist with clerical tasks in Administration. Hours for the morning/afternoon position is 8:30-12:30 or 12:30 – 4:30 PM. Duties include but are not limited to:
• Answer phones and direct calls. Monitoring and spot checking phone system for updates and change of outgoing message. Report any phone issues to telecommunications manager.
• Meet and greet/announce visitors, serve as a source for local transportation information (bus, taxi, train) as needed. As needed, follow-up with service providers regarding pickups. Provide information to public and staff regarding various USTA programs, events, staff contacts, etc.
• Assist Facilities staff as an additional monitor of security cameras, monitor visitor parking issues and identify any chronic abusers of same.
QUALIFICATIONS/OTHER:
• Position is a year round part-time position
• Customer service skills are a must.
• Position requires a clear and pleasant speaking voice.
• Ability to handle phones during peak times of year leading up to US Open
• Upbeat and positive personality is helpful and serves as a positive introduction to the caller or visitor to USTA.
• Competency with MS Word and Outlook (emails) necessary.
Position pay $15/HR
